Mikrotik How to Setup/Enable The Dude Server

Overview
The Dude is a free software from Mikrotik.It is a tool used for Network Monitoring.

Requirement for Server Package

Software

• Routeros v6.34rc13 or newer

Hardware

• Tile - Cloud Core Series Rotuers
• ARM - RB3100,RB1100AHx4 Dude Edition
• mmips - RB750Gr3,RB760iGS
• x86 Routeros Installations
• CHR Environment

Requirement for Client

• Windows
• Linux using Wine
• MacOS using Darwine

Now Lets Start the LAB

In this lab we are using Mikrotik hEX(RB750Gr3)

Step 1: Download & Install Dude server package

1. First download the Server Package from the Mikrotik official        website. https://mikrotik.com/download

2. Drag & drop the .npk package file to the Router & reboot the router from System - Reboot

  3. Now Dude Server package has been installed and you can see the Dude option in left Pane.

 4. Now, Enable the server.

5.The Dude server is ready to use in this router.

You need a dude client software to access the GUI of the Dude server to add devices for monitoring.
